Relationships and Sex Education

Relationships and Sex Education is taught as part of our Personal, Social, Health and Economic education (P.S.H.E.) scheme, SCARF. Whilst P.S.H.E. is taught weekly and will broach upon different types of relationships between people (e.g. friends or family), the specific Relationships and Sex Education units are taught at the end of the school year in the second half of the Summer term. Before this, you will be given information about what will be taught and the opportunity to discuss and see the content and resources that will be taught to the children. We will send letters out to inform you of this nearer the time. For more information on this, please see the RSE policy on our policies page.

We also teach the NSPCC PANTS rule. This is an element of our safeguarding and for the children to understand what is private to them and how to keep themselves safe. For more information, please see the NSPCC website.
