Trips and Visits
At Newton Leys we believe that learning outside the classroom through residential experiences equips our children with invaluable life and learning skills, whilst they are on their journey as responsible learners following the school SMART values.
“Young people of all ages benefit from real life ‘hands on’ experiences; when they can see, hear, touch and explore the world around them and have opportunities to experience challenge and adventure” Council for Learning Outside the Classroom.
Trips and visits form a vital part of our curriculum offer and these vary for each year group and may change throughout the year. All of our trips have an educational purpose and are organised and led by experienced teachers, overseen by our Educational Visits Coordinator and Headteacher to ensure that children's safety remains paramount and the trips are successful.
Unfortunately, as the cost of living has risen, we are unable to go on all the trips we may have done in previous years however, aim to reduce costs were possible and intertwine these with visitors into school. We are able to support with the cost of trips for some children. Please contact the office to see if you are eligible for any of this support.
