Nursery
Our Nursery is an integral part of our school. On joining us, from the term after their third birthday, your child will immediately feel part of our school community. The experienced and caring staff will work with you to settle your child quickly, and will regularly update you on how they are getting on.
The Nursery and Reception Class teachers work closely together, to ensure that all of our Early Years children receive the support they need, and progress well.
The purpose built Early Years classrooms are light and bright, with plenty of activities always available for the children to explore both inside and outside. Nursery and Reception classes share access to our superb Early Years outdoor area which they access throughout the day.
- We are pleased to be able to offer 30 hour funded places to eligible families.
- We are registered to provide tax-free childcare, and accept all major childcare vouchers.

Our Nursery is very popular within the Newton Leys area so please ensure you have submitted an application promptly. Our admission process works exactly the same as school admission process, spaces are not allocated on a first come first serve basis. Should you wish to visit our Nursery, our Assistant Headteacher and EYFS Lead would be happy to give you a guided tour – please contact the school office to arrange this.

Sessions & Pricing
A range of sessions are on offer, Monday to Friday, during term time, as follows:

Spaces permitting, you can choose any combination of morning, afternoon or full day sessions with a minimum of 15 hours of funded sessions to be taken across the week.
Our Nursery fees are £5 per hour.
Parents can pay £2.40 per day for a healthy two-course hot meal, cooked fresh on the premises, our provide a health packed lunch. Lunches are eaten in our main hall with our Reception children.
Outside of term-time, we offer care through our Holiday Club. This can be booked on an "as-needed" basis. Further information can be found here
Wraparound Care
Nursery children are warmly welcomed at our on-site Breakfast and Tea Clubs when Nursery staff feel they are ready. A light breakfast and a light tea is provided at both. Nursery children have access to this facility however do recommend asking Mrs Westerby prior to booking them in to wrap around care. Nursery Admission
Our nursery is currently full for the current academic year, however admission for 2025-26 is open - Please contact the school office asking for an application form.
Priority is given to children living within Newton Leys School catchment area, and with siblings currently attending the school.
